Terms of use

Short, plain and honest. By using Janmantar you accept what is written here.

1. What a reading is

  • A Janmantar reading is an interpretive, imaginative work created from the birth details and photograph you give us. It is offered for reflection and self-understanding.
  • It is not a factual record of history, genealogy or any documented person, and it is not evidence of reincarnation.
  • It is not medical, psychological, legal or financial advice. Do not make decisions of that kind on the strength of a reading.

2. Your account

  • You need an account to save a reading. Give accurate details and keep your password to yourself.
  • You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at soul@janmantar.com if you think someone else has access.
  • You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

3. The photograph you upload

  • Upload only a photograph of yourself, or one you have the clear right to use and the subject's permission to place in generated scenes.
  • Do not upload photographs of children, public figures you do not represent, or images that are unlawful, hateful or sexual.
  • We may remove content and close an account that breaks these rules.

4. What you get to keep

  • Your photograph remains yours. You grant us only the permission needed to store it privately and generate your scenes and films.
  • The scenes and films made for you are yours to keep and share personally. Please do not present them as historical documentation of a real person.
  • The site itself, its writing, design and the Janmantar record remain ours.

5. Availability

  • Readings depend on generation services that can be slow or temporarily unavailable. Images and films may fail and can be retried.
  • We may change, pause or withdraw parts of the service. Where a change would remove saved readings, we will give notice first.

6. Limits

  • The service is provided as it is. We do not promise a reading will be accurate, meaningful or comforting.
  • To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for decisions taken because of a reading, or for indirect loss arising from its use.

7. Ending things

  • You can stop at any time and ask us to erase your record by writing to soul@janmantar.com.
  • We may end access where these terms are broken, or where use puts other people at risk.

8. Generated media and acceptable use

  • Generated scenes can contain visual errors, invented details or unexpected similarities. They are creative interpretations, not restored photographs.
  • Do not use Janmantar media to impersonate someone, deceive another person, harass anyone or claim false historical evidence.
  • You are responsible for checking a scene before sharing it outside your private account.

9. Changes and governing rules

  • We may update these terms when the service changes. Material changes will be stated clearly before they take effect.
  • These terms apply to janmantar.com. Any dispute should first be raised with us so we can try to resolve it directly and fairly.
